We often get amazing stories sent in to us, and this aspiring performer certainly deserves some praise!
How incredible was that! Joanne Brookes has been putting her heart and should into fundraising for her local theatre in Birmingham, The Crescent Theatre. Joanne regularly does shows there – and she wrote to us saying ‘as an aspiring performer it means so much to me & I need it to stay open! I’ve raised over £700 in 2 days which is crazy! And I still have a whole week of videos!’
The videos she speaks of are one of the ways she has been expressing not just her talent, but the importance that supporting the arts has on small and large venues alike. She has performed covers throughout the past week and will be uploading singing covers following the schedule of a Crescent show week, so evening uploads at 7:30pm and an extra 2:30pm matinee upload on Sunday.
Please consider lending your support by donating through the JustGiving page linked below! It is so incredibly important that we support the artists and venues which have been so affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in order for them to continue to make incredible work and entertain us for many many years to come!
