This October, the crème de la crème of comedic talent will descend upon the city for the annual Birmingham Comedy Festival. And, it will be business as usual, as plenty of laughs are promised over the ten-day event, beginning on 4th October.

Birmingham Comedy Festival and The Glee Club present: Birmingham Comedy Festival Breaking Talent Award 2019 – Friday 4th October

A perfect event to kick start this festival of laughs, and definitely one to catch if you’re all about supporting local talent. Watch as the rising stars of the region take to the stage; showcasing their best bits in the hopes of making it big! Compered by James Cook, with a closing set from Scottish comedian Fern Brady.

The Art of Steve Lilley – Birmingham Back to Back Houses – Friday 4th October

Yet another celebration of local achievement comes in the form of Steve Lilley’s artsy exhibition. Just a stone’s throw away from The Arcadian Centre at Birmingham’s Back to Back Houses, you’ll see a collection of graphite portraiture of comedy greats, including, Laurel and Hardy and the Dad’s Army cast.

Voted What’s On’s Best Comedy Show 2019, for the third year running, the Carousel is very much here to stay.
