Umbrella provide greater access to free contraception through Birmingham pharmacies

-

From the start of September, Umbrella, the sexual health service for Birmingham and Solihull will have 100 more pharmacies providing a greater range of services to local communities across Birmingham.

The expanded pharmacy service will see a total of 164 pharmacies providing patients with greater opportunity for more localised contraception services.

Umbrella general manager Maureen Black stated; “Because of this recent pharmacy development any resident needing Umbrella sexual health services can now get the same level of service at any of our pharmacy partners.

“It will now be easier for people across the city to access STI testing, contraception and treatment. All they need to do is visit our website, use our service locator to find their local provider and give them a call.”
