Join everyone’s favourite inventive duo as Wallace prepares to perform his musical composition, My Concerto in Eee Lad, with help from his long-suffering companion, Gromit. Nothing could possibly go wrong – could it?
Carrot productions presents Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels at Symphony Hall on Wednesday 29th May. The event is accompanied by the Picture House Orchestra and promises to introduce classical, live music to young audiences in a fun and interactive way.
This show features specially created animations, accompanied by the orchestra, hosted by musician and presenter Matthew Sharp. This event will be followed by a screening of the Academy Award winning Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers with the soundtrack performed by the orchestra live on stage. It is set to be a grand day out with lots of surprises!
Continue your fun day out by signing up to one of the workshops with an expert Aardman Model Maker. Try your hand at making your very own Gromit with materials provided and quiz the expert to learn tricks of the trade. Once you have taken your masterpiece home you can have a go animating it using Aardman’s easy to use Animate It! software.

This is a hands-on activity suitable for 7+. All children must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket. The workshops are at 12.30pm, 3.30 pm and 5pm with tickets at £10 (places are limited).
The Picture House Orchestra is an orchestra made up of musicians from other illustrious orchestras such as BBC Philharmonic, BBC Concert, and BBC Scottish. The musicians have been chosen both for their talent and their fun and friendly demeanour. The orchestra offers a relaxed introduction to live music for young audiences who may not have experienced classical or live music before. The orchestra is conducted by BBC Symphony Orchestra’s Steve Magee, an expert in syncing music to film.
Matthew Sharp will be presenting the show. He is an internationally renowned musician, actor, director, and performer. He is a classical artist that has played at major festivals worldwide as a solo cellist and baritone. He is known for his fun presence and promises to be a fantastic host for the event.
Wallace and Gromit’s Musical Marvels will be showing at 2.00pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday 29th May with a running time of 85 minutes. Tickets range from £13.50 to £38.00. There are family ticket prices for families of four including at least one adult.
