Rail passengers in Birmingham will be able to discuss this summer’s timetable changes at a special event at Birmingham Snow Hill station this week.

Part of the ‘Whistle Stop Tour’ initiative, officials from West Midlands Railway will be on hand to answer questions during the morning and evening peak on Wednesday 10 July.

The sessions follow the introduction of West Midlands Railway’s new timetable back in May which introduced new direct services to more destinations, additional services throughout the week and both earlier and later services to and from many stations.

Richard Brooks, customer experience director for West Midlands Railway, said: “Our timetable improvements have provided new journey opportunities for passengers but we understand that changing times and carriage formations may mean making adjustments.

“This was the biggest timetable change in the West Midlands for more than a decade and we recognise the importance of listening to our customers and answering their questions.

“We have already taken on board feedback from across the region and I am pleased these ‘Whistle Stop Tour’ events will give our passengers another chance to discuss our timetables and services directly with our staff.”

As well as the Snow Hill session, the ‘Whistle Stop Tour’ will also visit Worcestershire later this month:

  • Wednesday 10 July – Birmingham Snow Hill – 7:30 – 9:30am and 4:30pm – 6:15pm
  • Wednesday 17 July – Worcester Foregate St – 4:30pm – 6:30pm
  • Thursday 18 July – Droitwich Spa – 4:30pm – 6:30pm
