Detective Constable Dan Hart, from British Transport Police at New Street Station, is appealing for help to identify two men after a fight at a Jewellery Quarter railway station, during which a man ended up on the tracks.

The man was taken to hospital with a head injury following the altercation. He was waiting with a friend on platform one when they were approached by a group of four men.

Two of the men in the group began to argue with the friends, resulting in a scuffle and the man falling onto the line.

DC Hart, said: “The injured man was knocked unconscious and his friend was also hurt during the fight, which happened just before 11PM on Saturday 11th June.

“Such violent behaviour will not be tolerated and we are determined to identify all those involved.

“We have uncovered images of two men, who we believe may have more information about what happened, and I would appeal to anyone who knows their identity to contact us.”
