A man, aged 36, has been taken to hospital after reports of gunshots and disorder in Dudley at around 10PM on Thursday night (24/08).
Police have condoned off Himley Road in both direction while they conduct a scene investigation and make house-to-house enquires.
Chief Inspector Sean Phillips, said: “A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.
“At this stage no other victims have been identified, checks are being carried out to establish whether this is definitely the case.
“Gun crime is a high priority for us and we will be working round the clock to identify who is responsible.
“We urge anyone who was in the vicinity, and saw what happened, to contact us as soon as possible with any information.”
