Investigation launched following an incident ‘involving a knife’ in House of Fraser.

Police have launched an investigation after an incident ‘involving a knife’ in House of Fraser on Corporation Street in the city centre this afternoon (25/08).

A spokesperson from House of Fraser, said: “We can confirm that an incident involving a knife occurred in our Birmingham store today.

Luckily no-one was hurt. The police were called immediately and we are currently investigating the incident.”

The store remains open as normal.

A spokperson from West Midlands Police, said: “We were called to reports of a man seen with a knife in Corporation Street, Birmingham, at around 3.15pm today (Friday 25 August).

A 28 year-old man has now been detained by officers.”
