Rare images of elephants strolling through the streets of Billesley in the 1960s have been discovered. The elephants were believed to be on a daily walk during their stay at the circus on Billesley Common.



Rita Edwards, who sent Birmingham Updates the images, said: “I have just found these old negatives of the Elephants walking down Hollybank Road when the circus came to billesley common in the 60’s does anyone remember this day. My mom took these photos. Thought i would share these memories.”
