Boxxed on Digbeth’s Floodgate Street is set to transform into a late night food and drinks market, Boxxed Social, as the music venue, as is, will shut up shop in June, ready for transformation in order to mirror similar set-ups in the capital and aboard.
Although many of the details will remain under wraps until the venture’s opening, there are some incredibly cool, new features to get excited about in the mean time! The permanent space will open six days per week for food fans to get their fill of all sorts of freshly prepared cuisine from all over the globe.
Four permanent restaurant kitchens will feature, dishing out the very best to Birmingham’s consumers. With The Rebel Chicken being first to feature and others to be confirmed closer to the time. Drinks wise, already secured is the famous Heisenbar cocktail camper-van, initially set up by mixologist Rob Wood, a motor-home where fans of the Breaking Bad TV series can order themed drinks. Three specialist bars will also feature a prosecco stall.
The 600 capacity market will play classic Motown, Disco and Funk into the night, combining as a multi-purpose project, fitting with the times and the demands of Birmingham’s night owls.
This is big news for the city which has seen many fabulous restaurants and street-food vendors go from strength to strength is recent years. Boxxed Social promises to be a versatile where you can eat, drink, be merry and enjoy feel-good music, day and night! Amazing!
