This Saturday (09/11) will see an epic celebration of the great and good our city has to offer at the annual Birmingham Awards.
Joining in on the celebrations will be the Library of Birmingham which will be lit up in the colours blue and red – the brand colours of the awards.
The Birmingham Awards, now in its 5th year aims to recognise and reward the very best individuals and organisations with each nominee praised for their positive contribution to our world-class city.
From West Bromwich to Sheldon, Sutton Coldfield to Northfield, proud founders Ifraz Ahmed and Anita Chumber work tirelessly to find the hidden gems of the city, recognising the individuals and organisations that may have been overlooked or dismissed by others.
In order to reflect the ongoing achievements of Birmingham, some of the categories that showcase include: Education, retail, Business, Excellence in Media Award, and the highly illustrious Brummie of the Year to name a few.
Anita said: “We created the awards because we believe that a city of ambitious, vibrant & inspirational people & organisations needs a platform to highlight & celebrate the incredible work being done.”
Ifraz said: “We are passionate about ensuring that we all come together collectively to celebrate each other. We want to identify & acknowledge the unsung hero, using their stories to inspire others to do the same. Recognition, support, collaboration & celebration are key to our city & region to grow & prosper.”
The Birmingham Awards will take place at the Library of Birmingham on Saturday 9th November 2019, tickets for the event have sold out but not to worry, winners of each category will be announced live on Twitter during the event.
