Birmingham St. Patrick’s Day Parade bus diversions 2020

Due to the cancellation of the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Birmingham, all bus services will be running as normal on Sunday 15th March 2020.

The annual St. Patricks Day Parade will take place in Birmingham on Sunday 15th March 2020. Bus services around the Markets and Digbeth will be affected throughout the day.

Buses will be on diversion between 06:00 and 18:00.

Services 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5 & 6

These services will divert between Camp Hill Island and Birmingham City Centre in both directions. Buses will divert via the inner ring road and not serve any stops between Camp Hill and Carrs Lane.

Service 16

This service will not serve Station Street or Upper Dean Street (Markets). Passengers should use stops on Moor Street Queensway or Smallbrook Queensway instead.

Service 17

This service will divert between Bordesley Circus and Birmingham City Centre in both directions. Buses will divert via the inner ring road and not serve any stops between Bordesley Circus and Moor Street Queensway. In Birmingham, buses will use stop MS9 on Moor Street Queensway.

Service 35

This service will divert between Balsall Heath and Birmingham City Centre in both directions.

Towards Birmingham; buses will use the normal route to Longmore Street before diverting to use Belgrave Middleway, Bristol Street and Smallbrook Queensway to Moor Street Queensway, terminating at stop MS4 (outside Primark).

Towards Hawkesley; buses will start from stop MS4 then operate via Smallbrook Queensway, Station Street, Pershore Street before rejoining the normal route at Sherlock Street.

Services 45 & 47

These services will divert towards Birmingham only, using the normal route until Belgrave Middleway then operating via Bristol Street and Smallbrook Queensway to Carrs Lane. Buses will use the normal stop on High Street (outside Boots).

Buses towards Longbridge will operate the normal routes throughout.

Service 50

This service will divert between Highgate and Birmingham City Centre in both directions.

Towards Birmingham; buses will use the normal route to Upper Conybere Street (PC World), before diverting via Highgate Middleway, Belgrave Middleway, Bristol Street and Smallbrook Queensway to Moor Street Queensway, terminating at stop MS4 (outside Primark).

Towards Druids Heath; buses start from stop MS4 then operate via Smallbrook Queensway, Station Street, Pershore Street, Sherlock Street, Gooch Street, Belgrave Middleway and Highgate Middleway before rejoining the normal route at Moseley Road (PC World).

Service 60

This service will divert between Bordesley Circus and Birmingham City Centre in both directions. Buses will divert via the inner ring road and not serve any stops between Bordesley Circus and Birmingham City Centre. In Birmingham, buses will use stop BS18 on Albert Street.

Services 80 & 80A

This service will curtail at Smallbrook Queensway, not serving Station Street or Upper Dean Street (Markets). Passengers should use stop NS9 on Smallbrook Queensway.

Service 97

This service will divert between Garrison Circus and Birmingham City Centre. Buses will divert via the inner ring road and not serve any stops between Garrison Circus and Birmingham City Centre. In Birmingham, buses will use stop MS8 (near Carrs Lane Church).

Services X1 & X2

These services will divert between Bordesley Circus and Birmingham City Centre in both directions. Buses will divert via the inner ring road and not serve any stops between Bordesley Circus and Birmingham City Centre. In Birmingham, buses will use stop BS18 on Albert Street.

If your bus service is not listed here, it will be operating the normal route throughout.
