Educate Yourself
There are heaps of online resources and books available for you, so take time to research and educate yourself.
One of the most important things you can do right now is to learn something about the current situation. Check out the many links being posted on social media about police brutality, racial inequality and historical injustice in the USA, the UK and other countries. Read up on why people are protesting. As well as speaking out, take some time to listen and absorb the stories and messages coming from the black community. Don’t leave it up to others to educate you, unless they offer of course, try your best to educate yourself!
It is a topic that many people shy away from, but that is part of the problem. If you don’t talk about something, how can you expect it to change?
