This weekend from Friday – Sunday (22,23 & 24/06) the Foodies Festival will see a mouth-watering line-up of food and drinks for fans of culinary escapades. Stacks of treats and tasters will be available across all days with tutorials, masterclasses and workshops dotted across the Birmingham beauty spot.
There will be stalls selling artisan produce to take home with you and put all those tips and tricks to good use too! Cocktails are a plenty with the Gin Station, Tequila Shack and Tikki Rum Bar pleasing crowds until close. And don’t worry, as you’re sipping, the kids will be easily entertained by cream-pie throwing and cheese-stretching competitions.
The main kids activities include, the Kids Cookery Theatre where they will learn to cook the basics and a Kids Zone craft area with a bouncy castle and face-painting. Live entertainment for adults is provided by the likes of Toploader and The Hoosiers on Friday and Dodgy on Saturday!
The huge draw to this event is the amazing culinary names descending on the park to showcase their talents and share their knowledge. Birmingham’s Michelin starred chefs Brad Carter of Carters of Moseley and Glynn Purnell of Purnell’s will be making appearances and meeting fans across the event, along with MasterChef 2018 winner Kenny Tuck. Great British Bake-Off winner Sophie Faldo and MasterChef: The Professionals finalist Louisa Ellis will be spreading their wisdom too!
