Collectormania 26 – Film & Comic Con 2019 returns to Birmingham

-

One of the nation’s most popular collector’s event returns to the National Exhibition Centre Birmingham on Saturday 1st June and Sunday 2nd June 2019.

Packed with autograph sessions, photo shoots and panels with a host of famous faces, the event also brings some of the most sought-after TV, film and sports memorabilia around.

Tickets for Collectormania 26 – Film & Comic Con 2019 Birmingham are available here, starting from £10.

For those of you unfamiliar with the event, here’s some of what you can expect from the weekend…

Merchandise

If you’ve had your eye on a rare movie prop or poster then this could be your chance. Browse the hundreds of stalls selling unique items that you won’t be able to find in many stores or even online. Expect collectable comics, outfits, toys and one-of-a-kind arts and crafts.

Autographs

With a clever easy-to-follow virtual queuing system in operation, you can pay to have your own autograph from many of the guests at the event.

Photographs

No need to worry about blurry or rushed selfies here, you can get your picture taken with your favourite stars on the day by a professional photographer. Best of all, the images are developed instantly so there’s no waiting time!

Talks

Not only will you be in the presence of some huge TV, film and sports legends, but you’ll also get the chance to meet them and ask your burning questions! The full talk timetable will be available to view online a week before the event.

The Comic Zone

Whether you’re into science fiction, fantasy, or superheroes – this is the place where everything comic-related happens.

Here you’ll find all the rare back issues, action figures, posters, statues and original art. You’ll also meet some of the best comic writers and artists from around the world, and you may even be lucky enough to get a signed comic or bespoke sketch!

The Video Gaming Zone

Modern gamers will have a selection of PC, PS4 and Xbox One titles to choose from, including Xbox Live and PSN games. If retro games are more your thing, then you’ll be spoilt for choice with over 50 playable machines to choose from, with everything from Pong to PlayStation 3.

Gamers can also expect Minecraft and LAN gaming zones, in addition to a Virtual Reality zone. If you’re not already a gamer, you may be converted to one after this weekend!

The Cosplay Zone

The Cosplay Zone gives participants the opportunity to dress up as their favourite characters and showcase their costumes on stage. And if you needed any further incentive to get involved, there are guest judges in attendance to review the outfits and hand out cash prizes for the winners! The zone is also host to a range of workshops, quizzes and photoshoots for fans to get stuck into.

And finally… the guests.
