A 27-year-old woman received trauma care by ambulance staff last night (09/01) following a serious road traffic collision in Winson Green.
West Midlands Ambulance Service received a 999 call reporting an RTC involving a pedestrian at the junction of Bacchus Road and Nineveh Road, Winson Green shortly after 6.00pm yesterday. Two ambulances and a BASICS emergency doctor were called to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “Crews arrived to find a car which had collided with several vehicles and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman, sustained serious injuries which required trauma care from the doctor and ambulance crews. The woman was stabilised on scene before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further care.
A 19-year-old man was detained at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving and was also been taken to hospital for an assessment.
