Birmingham City Council has launched a public consultation on it’s 2019/20 budget proposals.
The council has already saved around £690 million since 2010 and must now find further savings of £86 million over the next four years, including £50 million for 2019/20. However, most of this has already been consulted on and are ongoing savings, so this specific consultation covers £18 million.
For seven weeks up until 31 December, the council will be consulting on how it proposes to make these savings and will be asking people to give their views via birminghambeheard.org.uk.
