Luke Bailey, aged 34, from Great Barr, was convicted of two offences of exposure at Dudley Magistrates Court on Tuesday (28/11).
He was handed a two-year community order and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register for five years, and also ordered to pay compensation to his victims.
Bailey exposed himself to a woman while travelling on the top deck of the X10 Birmingham to Merry Hill bus on 9th March. Five days later another woman also reported that a man had exposed himself to her on the same bus.
Following enquiries Bailey was arrested on Wednesday 8th November and charged.
PC Shaun Hickinbottom, from the Safer Travel Partnership, said: “We take offences of this nature very seriously. The incidents left the women feeling scared and very uncomfortable and members of the public should not have to tolerate this kind of behaviour.”
Transport for the West Midlands, West Midlands Police, British Transport Police and Transport Operators make up the Safer Travel Partnership, which exists to make public transport in the West Midlands even safer.
PC Hickinbottom, added: “We do our best to bring offenders to justice and offer support to the victims.
“If you have experienced unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport, please do not hesitate to report it.”
