Man taken to hospital with stab wounds following an incident in Small Heath.

Emergency services were dispatched to the junction of Cattell Road and Coventry Road earlier this afternoon (16/01), to reports of a man being stabbed.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police, said: “Officers are currently investigating a stabbing which took place this afternoon (16 January) on Cattell Road at the junction of Coventry Road, Small Heath.

“A 19-year-old man was found with stab wounds to the chest and thigh.

“He has been taken to hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

“Cattell Road at the junction of Coventry Road has been closed until further notice.”
