Past winners of Future Faces urge young professionals to enter the 2019 awards

Following the success of last year’s sell-out event, Future Faces is back for its 5th dinner and awards which will take place on Friday 20th September at the ICC.

The event acknowledges the remarkable achievements of all Greater Birmingham’s young professionals.

Rebecca Halbert, marketing manager at property management consultancy Avison Young said some major opportunities have come her way since she was crowned the winner of the Future Face of Greater Birmingham in 2018.

She said: “It has been a life-changing experience. It has provided an unparalleled platform for my development, opened doors to incredible opportunities, and allowed me to join the important conversations taking place about the future of our city and how young professionals can, and should, play a key role.

“Whether you are instilling change at a large corporate, teaching, working in fundraising, or driving your own business forward, applying for the Future Faces awards could give you the springboard into the next chapter of your career.”

There are nine sectors that make up the awards which include:

  • The Future Face of Arts and Culture
  • The Future Face of Charity and Social Enterprise (new category)
  • The Future Face of Entrepreneurship
  • The Future Face of Finance
  • The Future Face of Industry
  • The Future Face of Legal
  • The Future Face of Public Sector and Education (new category)
  • The Future Face of Sales, Marketing and Communications
  • The Future Face of Technology and Innovation

The overall winner of the prestigious awards will be chosen from the winners of the nine and will take home the title of the Future Face of Greater Birmingham. An award sponsored by Aston University in which the winner will also receive a fully-funded Executive MBA scholarship from the University.

The awards are completely free to enter, and applications from all young professionals aged 35 or under. Applications will be judged by an independent judging panel. The deadline for award entries is Friday 21st June at 5pm.
