Sergeant Adam Hicklin, from West Midlands Police CID, is appealing for information following an assault on a 10-year-old boy that happened on Lister Road in the Beechdale area of Walsall on 28 September.

Sometime between 6.15pm and 7pm, the boy was chased by a group of six older boys who pushed him over and then carried out a cowardly attack, kicking and stamping on him.  

The youths tore the boy’s hearing aids from his head and stamped on them and broke his hearing implants.

Sergeant Hicklin, said: “We are appealing for help with identifying this group of bullies who launched an unprovoked and hateful attack on a defenceless young boy.  In addition to physical injuries, the boy is very frightened and shaken and has suffered damage to his hearing aids that will cost several thousand pounds to replace.”
