World-renowned film director and producer Steven Spielberg (pictured wearing a denim jacket and sunglasses) has arrived in Birmingham to begin filming ‘Ready Player One’ which is set in a futuristic dystopian.
The film is based on the 2011 novel by Ernest Cline and stars Tye Sheridan as Wade Owen Watts – a young man who joins an international hunt to decode hidden secrets in an online virtual world known as The Oasis set in 2044.
Filming will take place in Digbeth and the Jewellery Quarter over the next few weeks.
