Police have launched an investigation after a boy, aged 15, was stabbed in the leg on Pershore Road in Edgbaston on Saturday night (30/06).
Emergency services were called to the scene opposite Edgbaston Cricket Ground, at around 8:30PM, following reports of a dispute and a boy being stabbed.
The teenager was taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are not life threatening.
An investigation was immediately launched and led officers to Carrs Lane in the city centre at around 9:30PM.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Police, said: “Police attended Carrs Lane, Birmingham city centre, at around 9.30pm last night (Saturday 30 June) as part of enquiries into a stabbing earlier in the evening.”
“A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after suffering a stab wound to the leg in Pershore Road, Edgbaston, at around 8.30pm. His injuries are not believed to be serious.”
The investigation is ongoing and witnesses are urged to call 101 if they have any information.
