Planning to spend your summer eating and drinking? Us too! Luckily, Birmingham will be hosting a smorgasbord of foodie festivals and other fun other the next few months, with events celebrating everything from pizza to tequila.
Brum’s Big Fat Pizza Festival: Quantum Exhibition Centre, 20 April
Who doesn’t love pizza? The Big Fat Pizza Festival returns for a third year, bringing with it some of the best street food traders in the country. There’s also a TV room and face painting to keep little ones busy, so you can get on with the serious business of filling your face with pizza.
Taco and Tequila Street Party: Mutt Motorcycle Company, 18 May
Celebrate a Mexican street food classic in Digbeth, with top Tequila brands. Look forward to tequila competitions, taco battles and a pinata championship. More details are to be announced soon, but this is sure to be a street party to remember.
Birmingham Coffee Festival: The Custard Factory, 7 – 9 June
Caffeine addict? Then get to Digbeth in June for the return of the Coffee Festival. Sip, shop and network with coffee professionals. Sample new blends, test drive a new coffee machine or relax with a slice of cake and listen to local live music.
Foodies Festival: Cannon Hill Park, 21 – 23 June
Set in the beautiful surrounding of Cannon Hill Park, the Foodies Festival is a must visit for the eternally hungry. As well as more food and drink traders than you can shake a stick at it, expect live music, workshops and cooking demonstrations. This year’s music offering is headline by Scouting For Girls.
Birmingham Cocktail Weekend: 11 – 14 July
Cocktail Weekend is a classic event across the city. Pick up a wristband and set off to visit lots of bar across Birmingham. Each venue will offer a £4 signature cocktail. The weekend is a great way to sample new venues and drinks. Keep an eye out for more events during the weekend to be announced!
