The Old Crown will open on Christmas Eve in order to provide Christmas meals and turkey rolls for the homeless. Staff will offer their own free time in a selfless move to provide a little support to those who need it most, during, what can be the toughest time of year.
Sixty diners are expected to be served a full Christmas dinner on the 24th, yet focus isn’t only around food, but companionship for those who maybe feeling lonely at this time of year.
The pub are hoping to hand out care packages to visitors during this time too, so urge people to donate what they can to the cause. The staff are happy to receive helpful supplies from the public who want to do their bit during the holidays.
