Emergency services were dispatched to Wilton road in Erdington, at around 3:10PM this afternoon (15/08), after a boy was hit by a bus.
The boy has been taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with serious injuries and a man was treated for minor injuries.
A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service, said: “An ambulance was on scene in six minutes and was backed up by a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance, when crews arrived, the child had been pulled from under the bus.
The youngster had suffered very serious injuries and was taken by land ambulance on blue lights to Birmingham Children’s Hospital with the doctor and ambulance crew treating him en-route, he arrived at hospital just 36 minutes after the call where medics were on standby to receive him.
He was said to be in a critical condition upon arrival.”
The road has been cordoned off whilst officer conduct a scene investigation.
