In partnership with The Arcadian, West Midlands Police and St John’s Ambulance, Southside BID are launching Southside Safe Space at The Arcadian this Friday night (14/06). The service, which helps any one who finds themselves in a difficult situation in the area, will be available every Friday and Saturday night from 12am – 5.30am.

During this initial trial period (lasting for 3 months), services will be:

• Help to anyone should they begin to feel unwell for whatever reason (in some cases they may be able to send someone out to the venue or location in the district).

• Help to people who need a hand getting home safely, should they have lost their friends/wallet/phone.

• A place to sit quietly for a little while with a glass of water before going home.

Staff from City Pastors, St John Ambulance and Southside wardens will be around to offer help. You’ll find The Safe Space located in the walkway to The Arcadian car park (so between Indi and Missoula), just by the crossing – through the red door.
