Code Your Future work with refugees, asylum seekers and other disadvantaged groups by teaching them how to code, developing their soft skills, and we help them find meaningful work.
In 2016 they launched the first cohort of our 8-month web development programme, coached by a group of professional developers. In the UK, they are running classes in London, the North West, Scotland and the West Midlands.
They’re now looking for new volunteers who want to help expand their reach and improve their services. They need volunteers to help them with outreach, social media, PR, project management/organisational tasks as well as those who deliver on the technical aspects such as the coding classes.
Their classes and study groups are fully remote so that people can volunteer while staying safe at home. Current and previous volunteers say their experience at CodeYourFuture was an ideal place to use their skills for good or learn new skills in a thriving, inclusive community.
