West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a man was shot in Great Hampton Row, Hockley, just before 7pm last night (12 May).
A shot is understood to have been fired from a car which then fled the scene.
A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with head injuries; he remains in a serious but stable condition.
West Midlands Police believe there were a number of people in the area at the time and they’re urging them to come forward with information.
Detective Inspector Jim Church, from force CID, said: “We’re in the process of trying to establish the circumstances around this shooting.
“We’ve recovered CCTV from the area and enquiries to identify the car and gunman are under way.
“We know there were a number of people in the area at the time of the shooting who’ve not yet spoken to us.
“A young man has been left in a serious condition in hospital but with their help we can catch whoever was responsible.”
